Air Apparent Studio

Terry Scales - studied sculpture from 1966-70 at Hornsey College of Art and Goldsmiths College.  He received the Rainham Fellowship from Greater London Arts Association in 1973 and annual awards from the Arts Council of Great Britain from 1974 to 1985, for his work on the development of technology within the arts.  This work was presented as a touring multi-media show, The Touring Theatre of Pneumatic Art, housed within experimental structures, and proved very popular with exhibitions annually at major arts festivals and community events throughout Britain/Europe and Singapore.

He has also undertaken major commissions including stage sets from the Royal Ballet and Paris Opera, and, with the support of the Arts Council of Great Britain founded the Arts and Technology Laboratory in 1977 as an educational charity established to support artists concerned with the creative development and use of technology within the arts.
